How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of your home screen, tap Widgets, find Daily Tarot and drag the widget where you want it. The card changes by itself every day at midnight.
The widget is blank or not updating
Open the app once so it can prepare the card, then wait a minute. If it still looks empty, remove the widget and add it again. On some phones, battery saving stops background updates: allow unrestricted battery use for Daily Tarot in Android settings.
How is the card of the day chosen?
The deck is shuffled once per installation, and the app walks through it a card a day, so no card repeats until all 78 have come up. The card is the same all day and does not depend on the internet.
Where do the cards and meanings come from?
- Card images: the deck drawn by Pamela Colman Smith, published in 1909–1910 and now in the public domain.
- Classic meanings: A. E. Waite, The Pictorial Key to the Tarot (1910), public domain.
- Backgrounds: photographs from Unsplash. The full list with authors is in Settings under Sources & credits.
Is this fortune telling?
No. The app is made for reflection and entertainment. It gives no medical, legal or financial advice.
